Doomsday Crater
Travel to Crater Lake, Oregon, the deepest lake in the United States, and one of the most pristine in the world. The Klamath and Modoc Indians have myths about how the lake and island were formed that actually formed some 7,000 years ago after a volcanic explosion of Mount Mazama. According to one legend La-o lord of the above and Skell lord of the underworld battled until La-o was defeated and the island is all that remains of his body.
